Výstava amerického umělce Davida Lynche Up in Flames poprvé souhrnně představuje v České republice výtvarnou tvorbu této ikony světového filmu. Výstava se zaměřuje na kresby, fotografie, litografie, akvarely a krátké experimentální i animované filmy. Současně návštěvníkům představuje díla ze všech umělcových tvůrčích období, tedy od konce 60. let do současnosti.
Expozice není koncipována chronologicky, ale sleduje konkrétní formová nebo tematická propojení, která, mimo jiné, tvorbu Davida Lynche charakterizují. Zásadní část výstavy tvoří díla zapůjčená přímo z The David Lynch Estate v Los Angeles, ale součástí projektu je i řada prací (litografií a fotografií) vytvořených v Item éditions v Paříži. Výstava Up in Flames nabídne také široké spektrum doprovodných programů, zejména se záběrem do filmu, současné experimentální hudby a literatury.

The exhibition Up in Flames by American artist David Lynch is the first comprehensive presentation of the visual art of this icon of world cinema in the Czech Republic. The exhibition focuses on drawings, photographs, lithographs, watercolors, and short experimental and animated films. It also presents works from all of the artist’s creative periods, from the late 1960s to the present.
The exhibition is not conceived chronologically, but follows specific formal or thematic connections that characterize David Lynch’s work, among other things. A significant part of the exhibition consists of works loaned directly from The David Lynch Estate in Los Angeles, but the project also includes a number of works (lithographs and photographs) created at Item éditions in Paris. The Up in Flames exhibition will also offer a wide range of accompanying programs, focusing in particular on film, contemporary experimental music, and literature.
