Ze sbírek Národní galerie v Praze představujeme výtvarné dílo členek skupiny UB 12 ze šedesátých let, kresby a grafiky Adrieny Šimotové a Aleny Kučerové, malbu Daisy Mrázkové a plastiky Věry Janouškové a Vlasty Prachatické. UB 12 bylo volné sdružení umělců svobodného smýšlení, které akcentovalo individualitu a autenticitu výtvarného projevu, než bylo s nastupující normalizací společně s dalšími výtvarnými spolky oficiálně zakázáno.

Touches of the present – Women Artists of the UB 12 Group

From the collections of the National Gallery in Prague, we present works by members of the UB 12 group from the 1960s, drawings and prints by Adriena Šimotová and Alena Kučerová, paintings by Daisy Mrázková, and sculptures by Věra Janoušková and Vlasta Prachatická. UB 12 was a loose association of free-thinking artists who emphasized individuality and authenticity in artistic expression before it was officially banned along with other art associations with the onset of normalization.
